PAST SIMPLE FOR REGULAR VERBS
They add -ED in affirmative sentences and use DID in negatives, questions and short answers.
PAST SIMPLE FOR IRREGULAR VERBS:
They have an irregular past form in affirmative sentences and use DID in negatives, questions and short answers.
💀The verb TO BE doesn't use DID!
